Responder Care Founder, Paul McFarlane, is a nationally recognised leader in emergency services, leadership support, and workplace wellbeing.

With over three decades of experience across healthcare, chaplaincy, and mental health leadership, Paul has spent his career supporting people in high-pressure environments where decisions matter and the cost of getting it wrong is high.

Today, through Responder Care, Paul works alongside Australian business owners and people leaders to help them navigate complex people issues, manage psychosocial risk, and lead with confidence, without carrying the burden alone.

Paul has spoken with thousands of paramedics and members of the public during his time at NSW Ambulance, many of whom experienced profound trauma or loss.

These interactions have given him valuable insights into human behaviour, including how adversity is influenced by social networks and how everyone faces internal struggles, regardless of external appearances. He also recognises the importance of purpose in life and its impact on wellbeing.
