A different kind of support for business leaders

Business owners carry more responsibility for their people than ever before.

Managing staff wellbeing, navigating difficult conversations, and responding appropriately when problems arise can place significant pressure on those leading a business. Business Care is a different kind of support.

Rather than providing a mental health program or offering one-off advice, Responder Care works alongside business leaders through an ongoing professional relationship designed to help them manage people challenges and psychosocial risk with greater clarity and confidence.

Leadership support when it matters most

Business Care provides ongoing access to an experienced Responder Care consultant who becomes a trusted advisor to the business owner and leadership team. Your consultant will take the time to understand your organisation, your leadership structure, and the pressures you face as a business leader.

Over time, this relationship provides a sounding board for difficult situations, guidance on complex people decisions, and support when leadership challenges begin to escalate.

Rather than reacting after problems have grown, Business Care helps leaders identify issues early and respond calmly and appropriately.

What changes when you have the right support

Working with Responder Care isn’t about adding another service or program. It’s about having a trusted person you can talk things through with when leadership decisions carry real consequences.

For many business owners this means:

  • people issues are identified and addressed earlier

  • difficult conversations feel calmer and more manageable

  • psychosocial risk is managed in a way that fits the reality of the business

  • leadership decisions feel more considered and less reactive

  • business owners feel less isolated in the leadership role

Business Care programs

Responder Care currently offers two Business Care programs designed to support organisations at different stages of leadership responsibility.

Team Care

Team Care is designed for small businesses and growing organisations where leadership responsibility is shared between the business owner and a small group of managers or supervisors.

The program provides ongoing advisory support for the business owner and key people leaders, helping them navigate staff wellbeing issues, leadership challenges, and emerging psychosocial risks.

Team Care also provides access to the broader Responder Care advisory network, including specialist expertise when complex situations arise.

Total Care

Total Care provides a more comprehensive level of leadership support for organisations managing higher levels of staff complexity or organisational risk.

In addition to the advisory support provided through Team Care, Total Care includes access to Crisis Care consultations and priority support when serious or traumatic workplace events occur.

Clients also gain access to Responder Care’s psychosocial risk self-audit tools and practical workplace resources designed to support compliance and leadership decision-making.

Who Business Care is designed for

Business Care is particularly suited to:

  • small business owners and franchise operators

  • founder-led and owner-managed organisations

  • businesses without internal HR or wellbeing teams

  • leaders managing ongoing people complexity or psychosocial risk

If you are looking for a wellbeing program to roll out across your organisation, Business Care may not be the right fit.

But if you are looking for experienced leadership support to help you navigate the human side of running a business, it may be exactly what you need.

Getting started with Business Care is straightforward

Step 1 Submit an Expression of Interest

Complete the EOI form so we can understand a little about your organisation and the leadership challenges you may be navigating.

A member of the Responder Care team will then contact you to arrange an introductory conversation.

Step 2 Business Scoping Conversation

This allows the Responder Care leadership team and your allocated consultant to understand your organisation, your team structure, and the pressures you are facing as a leader.

Your consultant becomes a trusted advisor you can turn to as people challenges arise, helping you think clearly, manage risk, and respond well.

Regular program check-ins ensure the support evolves with your organisation.
